Project 1

My problem with this project is over analayzing. I think I need to tone it down a bit and not add everything. But in the past when I've did that, I had a problem with not writing enough. So with that being said, i'm really not sure how to go about doing this project. All I know is i'm going to get started and do it as best as I can.

ANALYSIS OF WRITING

          Throughout my small amount of time at the university, I have basically only take pre-reqs and a few other courses, but within those courses I have taken, I've written plenty of papers. I am an elementary education major with an endorsement in English. I'm not a good writer at all, but I love to read others work. With that being said, I might as well look forward to writing a ton more of papers. The text I read was from my English 334 class, and it was about discourse communities. I believe the author name is John Swalyes. Discourse communities are very in-dept and many of us are apart of them. The purpose of this reading was to help teachers understand their responsibilities as educators.
            Swalyes explained how and why teachers were apart of discourse communities. Teachers plays many roles, exp. friends, parents, counselors, and all other. Reading and learning about discourse communities were very unique and interesting. Even the smallest group is discourse, from my perspective, everything is discourse. This piece of writing discussed how teachers indulge with writing. They have to write in all different styles. Teachers responsibilities as educators  really is a difficult task. Their jobs performance has to show through another being (that being is the students).

             This writing of discourse communities is in fact a good piece of writing and its layout tells directly who the audiences are and what the author purpose is.

I read the blog length requirement after I posted my first blog therefore I'm adding more to my blog. Before I posted that I wanted an A in this class, and that was my goal, sorry... Even though, I am aiming for an A I also expect to learn something from this class. In almost all of my previous English class, the topics were mainly about satisfying an audience and knowing who the audience is, that can be really challenging even though it seem really simple. I have trouble picking out the writers tone and who's the writer intended audience. Sometimes I feel like that subject is irrelevant to English, but I guess its universal orientated. I really don't understand the rhetorical situations and genres etc for the readings, so one of my accomplishments are to understand the whole rhetorical situation.

Hello, my name is Almaleshia Jefferson. I am a 21yr old female. I am from Tylertown, Ms which is about 45mins west of Hattiesburg,Ms. I am a junior and my major is elementary education with an endorsement in English. I just had a handsome little boy, he is 2 months old and his name is Ja'Keviun I. Magee. He is a blessing to me. My goal for this course is to earn an A. This is my first time taking an online course and I am excited about seeing what it holds.
